Cinque Terre – A Walk in the Woods

Well, here I am doing another trip – this time a small group walking trip in the Cinque Terre in Italy. We based ourselves for the first few days in Levanto, a nice town just west of Monterosso, and then took the local train each day to begin the day’s walk. My Italian Grand Tour – Pisa/Lucca

After my flight delay in Catania (due to Mt. Etna Ash cloud) Alitalia redeemed themselves and managed to hold all onward connecting flights upon arrival in Rome. My Sicilian Grand Tour ..concludes

My Journey in Sicily finally came to end, and so it seems appropriate that I begin our last day with the last view of Mt. Etna. It was just under 10 days ago that I left Sicily for mainland Italy again – seems so long ago already. The trip was wonderful and I would highly recommend it for the Food, Culture, People you meet and the fantastic Tour Leaders / Driver we had. We finally arrived in Catania, a wonderful city that needs further exploring – on another adventure I think.  In the meantime, I’ll relay our very interesting last day in Sicily before I departed for Pisa.
