Further Travels in Greece : Athens

View from my Hotel

Hello from Athens, a brief stop to revisit some wonderful places.  I had fantastic weather, as you can see, it was hot and calm, none of the wind and dust like last year. So I took the opportunity to revisit the Acropolis and also the fantastic Archaeology Museum, Acropolis Museum and really interesting Benaki Museum properly.

Although there were masses of people, particularly on the Acropolis, I found if you are patient, you can be really lucky and suddenly there is gap when no-one is in your view and a great shot emerges.  So, I’ll let the wonderful vistas and favourite museum pieces tell the story.

Frescoes from Santorini

It’s fitting that I finish with the beautiful original frescoes from Santorini, as now I will finish my current travels by returning to the Greek Islands again – this time the Dodecanese
